Dramatic: Pointy-Toed Flats

When I notice a Dramatic body in the wild I always think of music notes, with their long graceful lines.

Or Gothic architecture, with its soaring columns. Side note, does anyone else see Lothlorien here? The elves in Lord of the Rings definitely had a strong Dramatic vibe mixed in with their Ethereal-Natural.

Speaking of Gothic, spooky vibes are totally an option for Dramatics with Winter coloring.

Fun fact: the word "Gothic" started out as a slur by jerky medieval gatekeeper types. Folks who preferred the classical Greek or Roman architecture started insulting the new European style by associating it with those pearl-clutchingly uncivilized barbarians, the Visigoths. Now, of course, the grumps are gone, and Gothic architecture is seen as a high note of European civilization. Art always wins, in the end!

I digress. The key to amazing style - no matter your type - is to choose things that mirror your physicality, that show and celebrate it. So for this long graceful type we're going to look for anything full-length, pointy, slim-fit, elongated. For shoes, that means pointed toes - the real ones, not those wimpy almond toes!* Pointed toes are super popular these days, and it's really on you that they are most perfect.

Also - I made it a point to find you a pair that came in narrow width! This long, slender build often comes with long, narrow hands and feet, which can make shoe-shopping difficult. Isn't it interesting that that shape of our feet is mirrored in our hands, our hips, our noses? Each individual person is a well-thought-out composition, if you pay attention.

My philosophy is that when it comes to shoes, we have a little leeway with color season. They're far enough from your face that no one is matching them to your eyes, just your outfit as a whole.
